Savannah Rosa - Barber
Savannah (She/Her)
Taking Clients Thursday- Saturday
As a bisexual barber, I often felt uncomfortable in salons & barbershops growing up, fearing judgement. That’s why I’ve joined HATCH because I believe in creating a safe space for everyone. I started my journey in 2023 and take pride in giving others the freedom to express themselves in a way they would want to feel safe and supported.
I specialize in gender-expressive haircuts, clipper cuts, beard trims with an essential oil infused hot towel, and straight razor neck finishes. I also offer package deals for combined services and relaxing shampoos with or without a scalp massage.
My goal at HATCH is to ensure you feel confident and supported in my chair. I value our time together and look forward to getting to know you.

Carly - Haircutting Specialist
Taking clients Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
Carly (she/her) I have been in the industry since 2012 and have had extensive training with Aveda programs after graduating from Gary Manuel Aveda Institute on Capitol Hill in Seattle. I am a haircutting specialist and love to do fades, mullets, bobs, shags, and long layered haircuts. Attention to detail and thorough consultations are two things you will have in every appointment with me. A mission of mine is helping people discover their beautiful curl patterns and embrace their natural hair!
My chair is a safe space and I love being able to provide services for my queer and polyamorous communities. Gender affirming haircuts are so important and I would be honored to go on that journey with you!
I have lived in Washington my whole life and currently reside in Tacoma with my two partners and two kitties. When I have down time I am typically mountain biking, going to a concert, reading a good book, or trying to plot how I can rescue all of the animals. I can’t wait to get to know you and help you achieve all your hair goals!

Allison Buchbinder- Color and Haircuts
Taking Clients Monday-Thursday
I am a Pacific Northwest native, and have been doing hair for 13 years. I specialize in balayage and dimensional color, shags, retro/70s aesthetics, effortless, and curly hair types.
I am a queer femme, and I use she/her pronouns. I love helping queer (and all humans) clients feel seen while they’re in my chair. I value clear, honest, and compassionate communication. I take a lot of pride in getting folks to love and understand their hair journey.
I graduated from the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in 2011, and started my career in a Seattle based Aveda salon where I worked for 5 years starting as an apprentice, eventually moving up to a full time stylist. Then, I moved to a bustling, fashion forward, queer salon in Seattle where I also worked for 5 years. Now, I have been self employed for two years and have been loving the freedom and flexibility it provides.

Micki’s expertise is in short and medium length scissor and clipper cuts.
Micki (they/them), a hairstylist since 2015, and a licensed Cosmetology Educator since 2021 is a dedicated advocate for authentic self-expression. Specializing in short haircuts, mullets, and shags, Micki's chair is a safe haven for the lgbtqia2s+ community.
As a queer barber, Micki recognizes the importance of creating providing gender non-conforming haircuts that might be elusive in conventional barbershop as well as a space where everyone feels seen and heard. Their chair is not just a place for a haircut; it's a sanctuary for self-discovery, empowerment, and genuine connection.
a moment for our clients…
“It is always super chill/relaxing and I feel well taken care of when I get my hair done, I don't ever feel judged and love getting to engage in conversation... getting a haircut can be honestly pretty over-stimulating/worrisome for me as well as having social anxiety but I have continued going to Micki because I feel comfortable getting my hair done by them and know that they're going to do a good job so I don't ever really feel worried about the outcome of my haircut as well as someone who shares similar values.”
“I truly appreciate their timeliness, detailed work, relaxed vibe, and overall great experience every single time I’m in. Triple points for gender affirmation and queer centered conversations. The shop is always clean and well stocked. Do yourself a favor and get booked ASAP for great hair!! You da best Micki.”
“I’ve been seeing Carly for months now, and I haven’t regretted it at all; she knows what she’s doing. On top of that, she’s an incredibly endearing person, and I love our conversations so much. I haven’t had my hair cut by Micki, they are a lovely individual too! I am so happy to feel seen and understood with them. And although this place isn’t just for queer people, it definitely feels like a place I’m safe in.”
Who We Are
The name HATCH honors Micki’s great-grandparents, Ellis and Faye Hatch, along with their daughter Janelle, who were pioneers in the hair industry with their Hatch Barber Shop in Salina, Utah. Their unwavering dedication and passion for hairstyling became a family legacy passed down through the generations. Micki spent their summers observing their grandmother uphold this tradition, learning the craft from an early age before going to beauty school themselves.
Today, we proudly continue this tradition, offering the same exceptional service that has left generations of clients feeling confident and refreshed. We look forward to extending that same legacy of quality and care to you.
